LSO may be ready to part ways with coach Les Miles
If LSU fires Miles, they’re saying winning 110 games in 11 years, having more National Football League players on active rosters and the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation isn’t enough.
For the LSU administration to leak a story of Les Miles being in jeopardy of losing his job the week of the Ole Miss game is shameful.
“I honestly do not”, Miles said. “I feel that right now”. LSU is 7-3 this season, and their worst finish under Miles is 8-5.
Even though he’s the second-winningest coach in LSU history, boosters reportedly aren’t happy he’s not competing for more national championship titles.

During interviews with reporters Monday night, players said the coach broached the subject of his job. “I’m not going to comment on any job in any way, shape or form”.
Fisher’s specialty is something Miles has lacked at LSU lately: developing quarterbacks.
Plus, with Nick Saban’s Alabama program running roughshod in recent years, it would make sense for the Tigers to try to answer with a coach who operates his program in much the same fashion. Just like there’s a slogan “Built by Bama”, LSU is building their program back to that strong team they used to be.
Fisher has been the head coach at Florida State since 2010, succeeding the legendary Bobby Bowden after previously serving as Bowden’s offensive coordinator and being tabbed as the coach-in-waiting.
But on Monday, when these rumors seemed likely to materialize, ESPN cited a “high-ranking source” that indicated no formal decision would be made until LSU’s season finale with Texas A&M concludes. He’s a blue-chip coach with a demonstrable penchant for finding blue-chip players and convincing them to play for him.
Fisher said the College Football Playoffs has contributed to the changes.
Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen knows the demands of coaching in the SEC. Miles has the resume that teams would throw a lot of money at – if we’re being honest, he’s exactly the coach Tigers fans would be screaming for if he were on the open market, instead of already employed at LSU.
“I have no comment on that”, Fisher said, according to The Orlando Sentinel.
The only reason FSU is out of the 2015 national title hunt is neither transfer Everett Golson nor Sean Maguire proved to be a long-term answer at quarterback.
The LSU defense was ranked in the top 15 nationally in fewest yards allowed before the losing streak, but it has given up 30 or more points and 400-plus yards in each of the three losses.
Miles has been the subject of multiple reports stating the school is ready to part ways with the coach, who has been with the school since 2005.
Thrasher was behind Fisher’s most recent raise, which came in January and pushed his salary to about $5.1 million a year – with bonuses that could put it at $6.5 million per – putting him in the top 5 in the country.
