Lupita Nyong’o Covers January Edition Of ELLE
Fresh off an Oscar win for her role in 12 Years a Slave, Lupita Nyong’o is taking on an entirely new challenge: She plays alien Maz Kanata via motion capture in the upcoming Star Wars sequel, The Force Awakens. In addition to slaying on the recent cover of Rhapsody, Lupita Nyong’o will also appear on the January issue of Essence magazine.
The camera absolutely loves her, and Lupita Nyong’o poses up a storm on the front page of the January 2016 issue of ELLE UK magazine. Inside, the “Star Wars” actress talks about her meteoric rise to fame caused by her critically acclaimed role as a slave girl name Patsey in the Academy Award-winning film, “12 Years a Slave“.
A source explained to The Sun, “The CGI seemed to be what Lupita struggled with, perhaps because it meant she felt less of a connection to the character”.

The 32-year-old face of Lancôme, and PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2014, sported a mod, structured bob styled by celebrity hair guru Larry Sims. And then what happens?
“I was on a mission to talk to Ralph, but he was talking to some man”, she said. And it was a time during that tricky adolescent phase when you’re coming into yourself and you’re trying to pave your own way but you’re insecure about where you lie. Nyongo’s mother, who is the managing director and head of PR for the Africa Cancer Foundation, “always said I was attractive”.
