Mac Miller Dead At 26
Rapper Mac Miller, 26, who was frequently open about his battle with addiction and drug abuse, has died from an apparent overdose, according to TMZ. The two broke up amicably in May.
His death comes several months after he ended a high-profile, two-year relationship with pop superstar Grande, often seen as the inspiration for his songs. “This is so insane”.
In May, she released a statement about why the relationship came to an end. “Thank you for sharing your gifts with us all”.
A rep for Miller did not immediately return a request for comment.
Miller dealt with substance abuse in the wake of his breakup with Ariana Grande, TMZ reported. No one’s entitled to anything. I’m OK with that. Great man. I loved him for real.
In the piece, Miller also admitted that he had been a secluded life as of late. And I don’t want just sadness either.
Miller has had troubles with substance abuse, most recently being arrested for a DUI in May when he wrapped his auto around a utility pole. His BAC was reportedly.15.
Miller also said he felt the pressure early in his career as someone who gained fame in his teens. He fled the scene but police say he later confessed at his home. Other social media users made sure to call out certain media outlets for describing Miller as Ariana Grande’s ex-boyfriend instead of recognizing him for being a popular rapper in his own right. Yet another wrote, “I HOPE YOURE HAPPY WITH PETE”, referring to Grande’s current engagement to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.
When we read the headlines, we so badly wanted them not to be true.
Now, an insider tells ET that the singer is absolutely “devastated” by the tragic death.
“It’s odd. Like, the whole thing is a little unusual but it’s not negative”, he said. I can not take this anymore, life is too short… “When I first started, I thought I was going to be the biggest thing in the world”, Miller told the entertainment site.
“You lowkey evil”, read one message, while another user posted, “You did this to him, smh”.
