Madonna Taps Gucci and Prada for Rebel Heart Tour
Pop fashion designer Jeremy Scott and Madonna are collaborating on the concert wardrobe for the singer’s upcoming world tour. When it comes to fashion, Madonna does not spare any expense.
Absent from the list is Armani, who famously made her on-stage costume for the Brit awards in which a costume malfunction meant she was pulled backwards. So for her Rebel Heart World Tour this fall, it’s no surprise that the “Material Girl” has rounded up some of the biggest names in the business to help make her outfits as awesome as possible.
The list of designers goes on with Alexander Wang and Prada both also set to dress the 56 year old star.
Alessandro Michele for Gucci, Jeremy Scott for Moschino and Nicolas Jebran have also worked with the pop superstar’s longtime costume designer Arianne Phillips for the tour, which will continue until March.
As for the creative geniuses she’s recruited, let’s just hope they remember not to include any capes. Previously, she has partnered with Jean Paul Gaultier, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix and Dolce & Gabbana for dramatic tour costumes. We really don’t know what to expect, but one thing is for sure – whatever she wears, she’ll look absolutely fabulous!
This tour will be in support of her latest studio effort, Rebel Heart, which was well-received by Digital Journal.
Final sketches for the “Rebel Heart” designs have not yet been revealed, but Madonna shared a sneak-peek at some of the looks on Instagram, including a pair of lace-up Gucci boots and a colorful gown.
