Maggie’s death scene leaked in alternate Walking Dead clip
Nearly all the major players gathered at the screening for a live, 90-minute episode of “The Walking Dead” after show to say goodbye to two cast members – Steven Yeun, who played gold-hearted Glenn, and Michael Cudlitz, who played master of the one-liner Abraham.
And just to be sure we got it, Glenn’s eye was popping out of a socket. “In the group, he made it very clear to Negan that if he was going to take somebody, take me if it’s going to help protect the rest of the group”.
The especially graphic, gruesome deaths of Abraham and Glenn have drawn criticism from some fans, even those accustomed to the show’s plentiful guts and gore. Spattered with the blood of characters who had endeared themselves with fans was the message that those of you who continue to think of “The Walking Dead” as only a zombie story have never been more disconnected with the truth. Episode 1 ended with the gang shaken up, in shock and extremely upset so it’ll be interesting to see how everyone handles the loss in future episodes. Glenn was one of the few characters that was actually likeable, and it’s going to be a lot harder to watch this show every week without him. Meanwhile, Steven Yeun who played Glenn insightfully points out, “Glenn died in a very Glenn way, still not thinking about himself”. When Daryl lashed out at Abe’s killing, Negan turned around and brutally beat Glenn to everyone’s horror.
Had Negan and Rick’s road trip to nowhere been skipped, we would have been given so much more. Does that mean Daryl will now have to turn against Rick and his friends or risk getting killed if he refuses to do what Negan says? While Rick is gone at Hilltop, Negan stops by Alexandria and Spencer decides to try and take command.
In another conference call, executive producer Greg Nicotero, who also directed the Season 7 premiere, expanded on the moment. What do Morgan and Carol know about him?
Yuen has been on the show since season 1 along with Andrew Lincoln, Chandler Riggs, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, and Lennie James.
But the smirks and threats Negan will not be the only thing to pace the episode as in “The Well”, we’ll finally get to meet the king Ezekiel and be introduced to his community, the kingdom.
Will the group stay together? .
Captured and put on their knees, they were subjected to “eenie meenie minee moo” at the end of Lucille, Negan’s barbed wire baseball bat.
