Magic at Heat: Orlando seeks tasty preseason W

Both teams lost their first preseason game to the Charlotte Hornets. Magic quickly caught up with their opponent, capitalizing on the Heat’s mistakes and getting a few easy points off their turnovers, as Miami had 9 of them in the opening quarter alone.
Chris Bosh led the Heat with 18 points on a tight 5-of-7 shooting, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Vucevic missed time last week with a strained right shoulder, while Fournier was out the first week of practice because of a sprained ankle suffered in the EuroBasket championships. – Head guard Dwyane Wade on Magic guard Victor Oladipo.
Goran Dragic is still house-hunting in Miami. Miami ran out of gas shortly after, allowing their opponents to take control of the game and have an 8-point lead at the end of the quarter.
The Miami Heat are taking training camp on the road.
Elfrid Payton scored four points while limited to 20 minutes with foul trouble. Miami failed to convert on their final possession and lost the game.
Former Heat player Shabazz Napier entered the game late in the fourth quarter for the Orlando Magic and assisted on a Melvin Ejim 3-pointer and converted on his own 3-pointer with three seconds left in the game to hold off the Heat for the 100-97 victory.
The game will also feature Magic reserve point guard Shabazz Napier facing the Miami team that he played for last season.
Miami next hosts the San Antonio Spurs next Monday at 7:30pm and this time it will be televised by Fox Sports Sunday.
