Magnitude-4.4 earthquake shakes Southern California suburbs
An quake that shook the Inland Empire on Tuesday, and was felt in Orange County, reached a magnitude of 4.3, according to the United States Geological Survey. Aftershocks of magnitude 3.8 and 3.2 came minutes later, and dozens of tiny aftershocks followed in the next few hours.
The Earthquake Canada had said that no damage has been recorded yet and none is expected. KOMO reported that several residents of Washington towns like Port Angeles and Anacortes felt substantial shaking, in addition to folks around Vancouver and Seattle.
A strong natural disaster awoke many people in the Oklahoma City area early Tuesday. “For a magnitude 4.3 event this is the kind of duration you would expect”. San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan tweeted: “Thus far, there have been no reports of damage or injuries from the quake reported just outside the San Bernardino City Limits”.
Two earthquakes of 4.4 and 4.3 magnitude jolted the South California and British Columbia late on Wednesday evening.
No casualties or damage have been reported.
The Southern California quakes struck the same area six miles northwest of Rialto.
“We could hear the dishes rattling”, she said. “It felt like someone crashed into the sofa I was sitting in”.
