Maharashtra CM wants to rope in Deepika Padukone for engaging with farmers
Explaining the reason why she chose “Live Love and Laugh” as the name for her foundation, Deepika says, “Live, Love and laugh is something that I live by”. In fact today is also World Mental Health Day. “We would like to give Deepika Padukone a mission…. mission to engage with farmers”, said Fadnavis. When asked if he himself experiences stress, the Maharashtra CM said, “We (politicians) lead a stressful life every day because of the challenges… when we look at newspapers…media…But we manage it”. The actress was under depression for a long time in her life eventually, she got recovered, there’s no stopping her from creating awareness on the issue.
“There are a lot of NGOs doing excellent work across the field of mental health”, she said”.
“Especially for people like me, who have had an experience with Anxiety and Depression. Mental health as an issue needs to be addressed very seriously in our country and I think that’s what our foundation is all about”, Padukone said. It is important to know there is hope and we as foundation are here to help you.
Deepika’s new foundation Live Love Laugh, will help people suffering from common mental ailments. Among the audience members were filmmaker and producer Kiran Rao, producer Ronnnie Screwvala, writer Shobhaa De and industrialist couple Parmeshwar and Adi Godrej, along with Deepika’s parents, Ujjala and Prakash Padukone. Directors Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Shoojit Sircar and Gauri Shinde were also among those present.
