Malaysia Airlines flight makes unscheduled landing in India due to broke
An MAB spokeswoman said the Boeing 777-200 aircraft made an unscheduled landing in Chennai worldwide Airport at 7am (local time) to fix the lavatories before continuing its journey to Kuala Lumpur.
Also in 2014, the Malaysia Airline’s Beijing-bound flight MH370 disappeared about an hour after it left the Kuala Lumpur on March 8.
During a media interaction here Wednesday, AirAsia Berhad CEO Aireen Omar said that the flight operator was keen on increasing the frequency of flights to Visakhapatnam besides connecting other parts of Malaysia depending on the performance of the existing flights.
“India is an important market to us, and together with AirAsia India, we are committed towards providing the Indian consumers with low fares and high-value services”.
The average flight load of the Visakhapatnam-Kuala Lumpur route since its launch in May has been 78 per cent, she added.
It was to land in Kuala Lumpur later Thursday morning.
The airliner has chosen Bengaluru as its operating hub in the country.
