Man accused of killing 5 may be caught in Mexico
Records showed Villegas-Hernandez, a Mexican national, had moved to the house where the victims were found almost 10 years ago. Police have not released the identities of the five people who they believe are related.
Villegas-Hernandez is believed to be driving a red Ford pickup truck with New Mexico license plate KJS 479.
Juan David Villegas-Hernandez remained at large a day after the five victims were found dead, Roswell police said.
Roswell police responded to the 2300 block of Davis Ave late Saturday night after family members found the victims.
Wildermuth said Monday that investigators were working to determine whether Villegas-Hernandez was caught in the Mexican state of Sonora on Sunday.
Investigators believe the suspect may have been arrested in Mexico on Sunday afternoon, however, investigators have been unable to confirm with authorities in Mexico that it is indeed the suspect. “The extradition can take some time”.
A relative who went to check on the family late Saturday discovered the bodies, police spokesman Todd Wildermuth said.
The mother was 34, the same age as the suspect. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
