Man arrested after ‘racially-motivated attack’ in which woman lost her baby
A man has been arrested after a woman lost her baby in an allegedly racist attack.
Thames Valley Police confirmed today that they had made an arrest in connection with the “absolutely devastating” crime.
The suspect, who is local to the area, was arrested later the same day and is now in custody.
She walked to her vehicle but the man followed her, before kicking her hard in the stomach.
The second victim, a 40-year-old man, sustained head injuries.
The defenceless woman was later taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for treatment but unfortunately doctors were unable to save her baby.
“The first victim was pregnant and as a result of the assault she lost her baby”.
Police have released a photo of a man they want to speak to in connection with the attack, which happened at about 9.40pm on Saturday, August 6 on Water Eaton Road, Bletchley.
A police spokesman said: “We believe that a handgun was used in this murder and that the victim, who was a young man, thought to be living at the property died following a single bullet wound to the chest”.
Scott said a man was bleeding heavily from his head, which he held in his hands.
Earlier this evening officers arrested a 33-year-old local man on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and he is now in custody. Our thoughts are with her and her family at this incredibly hard and sad time.
