Man arrested for using slingshot outside White House fence
A man was arrested Tuesday for using a sling shot to shoot something over the White House fence, according to several media reports.
A statement from the Secret Service says officers saw a man with the slingshot, and as they were watching, he fired it toward the White House.
According to ABC News, this isn’t Olson’s first run-in with the Secret Service recently.
Court documents show that on September 5, Adam Sheridan Olson was arrested after allegedly throwing a hard object and breaking a window that cost between $15,000 and $60,000.
Secret Service Public Information Officer Nicole Mainor describes the object as “a pellet”. “I am sick of it”, according to court records, ABC reported.
Olson was taken into custody and the slingshot was taken from him. The order did not prohibit him from going to the White House.
Mainor said a “protective sweep” was conducted, but nothing was found.
