Man arrested in connection with Marshfield death
Ferguson was scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Plymouth District Court.
Police have arrested a man in connection with what authorities described as an horrific murder in Marshfield earlier this month.
“The perpetrator or perpetrators went there with the intent to take an item, ” Cruz said on Sunday. One of those friends, his neighbor, remembers McKenna fondly.
MARSHFIELD- When they found the bloody body of Robert McKenna lying in his Marshfield home on September 15, police said they also found someone else’s blood there, too.
“With Rob, it was about his generosity”, said Ivy Frances.
Crime scene investigators were able to get a dna match with Ferguson, using evidence from the scene, including clothing, footwear and gloves, as well as evidence gathered nearby, along the suspected route away from the home.
“There was a massive loss of blood”, Cruz said. That blood was matched James W. Feguson of Dorchester. Cruz declined to say why Ferguson’s DNA was registered on the database, and whether he has a criminal background.
Police arrested 39-year-old James Ferguson in Boston for the murder of Robert McKenna in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
Cruz would not disclose what relationship, if any, there was between Ferguson and McKenna or a motive for the attack.
