Man arrested in fatal shooting of 2-year-old boy
The arrest came the same day the state offered a reward of $15,000 for information in the case.
The ongoing investigation has been a collaborative law enforcement effort with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Agents, TBI Crime Lab and Fort Campbell Criminal Investigations Division (CID).
A USA soldier from Kentucky has been charged with killing a 2-year-old boy and critically wounding an Army medic in an attack at a house in Clarksville, Tennessee, authorities said on Thursday.
Late Wednesday afternoon, police also released a sketch of the suspect, in hopes of making an arrest.
On October 14th, 2015, a person of interest was interviewed and additional evidence was collected. Police said the suspect intentionally shot the boy. It has an “L” on the front of it, tinted windows and rectangular tail lights that are taller than they are wide.
Jimenez remained in critical condition on Thursday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Clarksville police spokeswoman Natalie Hall said.
