Man charged after girlfriend spotted clinging to hood of moving vehicle

A man’s facing charges after he’s accused of almost running over his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
Police said Escobedo drove on the Gulf Highway for nearly a mile until the woman fell from the vehicle.
Police caught up with Escobedo and arrested him, the station reported.
Escobedo drove off anyway, at speeds of 25 to 30 miles per hour, swerving left and right, according to witnesses trying to dislodge Alvarado.

Anthony Adan Escobedo, 33, was charged with assault after he allegedly stole an SUV from his ex, Jessica Alvarado, and then tried to drive off as she clung to the hood.
After she noticed her vehicle was missing, Alvarado says she tracked it down to a Shell gas station near the motel.
A pregnant woman hung on to the hood of an SUV driven by her baby’s father for a mile on a Houston highway during a fight Wednesday, according to reports. He refused and that’s when she made a decision to jump on the hood of her vehicle.
She was picked up by a passing driver and was treated by paramedics for cuts and grazes to her hands and feet.
Police found Escobedo and the stolen vehicle a short time later at the Amber Creek Apartments in the 6500 block of Mira Glen. She’s is 32 weeks pregnant with Escobedo’s child, but they’re no longer a couple. Escobedo was arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault of a family member.
