Man charged with homicide in wife’s death
Kurt Angle’s brother has been charged with homicide. David said that during the argument his wife, Donna, attempted to kick him and he pulled her off the couch.
Details are emerging in the death of a Dormont woman, allegedly killed by the brother of pro wrestler and Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle. The 57 year old was David’s wife, and police had responded to a domestic report of a disturbance and a woman who wasn’t breathing. Upon their arrival, they found David’s 57-year-old wife Donna “unresponsive on the floor of the living room”. She was taken to an area hospital, where she died a short time later. In that interview, David said it was about 3 a.m. when his wife offered him some vodka, but he told her he didn’t want any.
County homicide detective Scott Towne stated that Angle told him all of their arguments surrounded alcohol in their home. He said he didn’t remember how long he did it for but that “it was not for minutes”. David told police his wife became unconscious and he tried unsuccessfully to revive her before calling 911.
Kurt Angle’s manager Dave Hawk issued a statement to the Post Gazette, saying “Due to the situation Kurt would appreciate if you can honor his family’s request for privacy at his hard time”.
Angle had to go through a rehabilitation program after a 2014 arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, according to court records.
