Man cited for drone that crashed on Ellipse
Park Police say this is the ninth incident involving the illegal operation of a drone in D.C. area national park in 2015, and the 26th since 2013.
Officials confronted the operator after he lost control and the drone landed in the Ellipse, a park just south of the White House. The two people were not arrested. The man was supposed to appear in the Court Of Law for prosecution.

The drone was identified harmless and was purchased from the internet. Rose says there’s no indication that the operators had any nefarious intent.
The U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Park Police responded after the drone was spotted flying near the Washington Monument around 1:20 a.m. Friday.

Airspace in downtown Washington, D.C., is a few of the most restricted airspace in the country for passenger aircraft and unmanned vehicles such as drones, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
