Man confesses to multiple child murders in India
A 24-year-old man, arrested in connection with the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in New Delhi, has confessed to sexually assaulting and killing at least 14 other children in the past six years, police claimed on Sunday. There were many facts unveiled by Kumar during police confessing.
For a person who is alleged to have been involved in the rape and murder of fifteen children and the subsequent sexual abuse of some of the dead bodies, it was a stolen driving license that led to his undoing.
Police say that Kumar targetted children of poor families who would rarely register a case if their child went missing.
“After my first assault I did many others”.
In 2009, Ravinder kidnapped a labourer’s son from Vijay Vihar, sodomized and strangled him.
Kumar says he felt bad for what he has done but continued to do the next time when he was drunk.
Kumar was arrested on Saturday in connection with the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in outer Delhi’s Begumpur area.
Getting into the details Ravinder Kumar, who is professionally a bus cleaner, whenever he feels to do sex he use to find a child nearby, kills and fulfils his desire. A case was registered, but Ravinder escaped due to lack of eyewitnesses. “If they refused, he would simply gag and pick them up”, said a police officer.
He usually committed the crimes in the afternoon or in the early hours.
He even targeted two 14-year-old friends of a relative while visiting his aunt during a marriage ceremony in Aligarh in 2012.
They were let off on the promise of keeping quiet about the incident.
“On July 14, we received a missing complaint about the minor girl in Begumpur, and arrested Ravinder Kumar after investigation on July 16”, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikramjeet Singh said at a press conference.
Sunny revealed that he recently had a scuffle with Ravinder Kumar, who ran away with his motorbike and also snatched his driving licence.
In his confessional statement, Ravinder Kumar had accepted that he committed two such crimes in Noida in 2013 while working as a cleaner with the contractor of a transport company.
During interrogation, Ravinder Kumar told police that he would lure children, both boys and girls, with toffees or money, take them to isolated spots and rape them before murdering. He had robbed the wallet, which contained the license, of an acquaintance after beating him up along with some of his friends.
