Man could face attempted murder charge in Hollywood stabbing
Policeman Ricardo Hernandez, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said a guy, in his 50s, assaulted a tourist who’s considered to be in his late 20s and used a big kitchen knife.
The injured man, reportedly a tourist who was shopping with his family, was taken to a hospital in stable condition and was expected to survive, police said.
Authorities say a man subdued by two off-duty NY police detectives after stabbing a Russian tourist in Hollywood could face an attempted murder charge.
The incident is now under investigation and officers are working on identifying the attacker, who was only described as a male. When the attacker looked at the man’s wife, a confrontation occurred, leading to the stabbing, witnesses said.
“Everyone started running to the windows”. “He kept looking at his hand and putting it to his neck”.
“I was thinking, ‘Is this really happening?'” Brown said.
“We are extremely happy and grateful that these detectives were not only there but took heroic action to catch this perpetrator and take him into custody”, Smith said.
In June 2013, a 23-yr-previous lady was stabbed to demise in the identical space after refusing to provide panhandlers $ 1 for taking their photograph.
