Man gets weapon charge in fatal shooting of Memphis officer

Olridge was shot and killed after an encounter with his neighbor in Memphis.
He was shot while in his vehicle in a residential neighborhood and managed to make his way to a house to call for help, WREG reported. Olridge was transported to Regional One where he later died from his injuries.
Breitbart Texas reported earlier on Monday that this is the fourth shooting death of a Memphis police officer in the past four years and the second in seventy-two days. Suspect Tremaine Wilbourn was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the Bolton case.
“It just doesn’t get any easier”, Armstrong said. Court records did not show whether he had a lawyer who could be contacted for comment. “I didn’t think we would be here so soon”.
The 31-year-old, who joined Memphis Police in September 2014, was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police are still working the scene where an off-duty Memphis Police Department officer was shot and killed.
Clark is expected to appear in court Tuesday morning where it is possible that additional charges related to the shooting death could be filed.
“He made his way back to the door a few kind of way”, he said, adding that he got the attention of his pregnant fiancée by banging on the garage. Neighbors said the brawl ended after at least 15 gun shots were heard.
And in July 2011, Officer Tim Warren was killed while responding to a shooting at a Memphis hotel.
Police took a neighbor, who lives across the street, into custody. When they came outside, Olridge was lying in his driveway, shot several times.
