Man held over US Jewish centre threats

Jewish Community Center MetroWest in West Orange has added additional security measures in light of the recent bomb threats against the Jewish community nationwide.
He was charged with cyberstalking and faces up to five years in prison if convicted, authorities said.

Thompson also made threats in his own name, but then claimed the woman made the the threats in order to falsely implicate him.
Two US Senators are calling for Congress to invest $20 million in security for Jewish and other faith-based community centres, following recent terror threats. He allegedly sent defamatory messages to the victim’s employer, made threats in her name and falsely accused her of crimes. Thompson is only accused of being behind a fraction of the calls.
No bomb was found at the center which has children’s education programs including for infants but which weren’t in session Monday because of a teacher workday. “He wants to create Jewish newtown tomorrow”.
Thompson allegedly made threats through his personal Twitter account, as well.
The FBI is also involved, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo has ordered an investigation into the bomb threats across New York State. The news outlet corrected four stories from Thompson and retracted one in its entirety.
