Man United agree terms with Everton for Lukaku!
Romelu Lukaku has completed his medical ahead of his transfer from Everton to Manchester United and has spoken highly about Jose Mourinho.
Police said Saturday that Lukaku was arrested at a house he was staying at in Beverly Hills after officers warned him five times to turn down the music at a party.
Lukaku adds: “Who would say “no” to the biggest club in the world?”
“#MUFC is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms”, a Tweet on United’s official handle read.
The Toffees are set to re-sign the 31-year-old 13 years after his £20m move to Old Trafford in 2004, with an announcement possible over the weekend.
Wayne Rooney arrived at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground for a medical on Sunday (AEST) as he closed in on a return to his boyhood club.
The deal is not connected to United’s ongoing pursuit of Everton forward Romelu Lukaku.
It’s not exactly surprising to learn that modern day footballers are so well-drilled by club’s PR teams that, more often than not, they just say what supporters want to hear..
However, Lukaku has snubbed advances from his former club and agreed to join their league rivals.
Both Pogba and Lukaku are expected to remain in LA where they will meet up with the Manchester United pre-season tour on Monday when Mourinho and the rest of the squad arrive.
The 24-year-old also shared pictures of himself signing a young fan’s shirt, saying “First Manchester United fan i’ve met”.
“Now it’s time to work hard, work harder than I ever did before”.
He was named captain by Louis van Gaal in 2014 and broke Bobby Charlton’s long-standing scoring record at United last season, eventually finishing on 253 goals in 559 appearances.
