Man United’s bad injury situation just keeps getting worse
Lack of creativity does not seem to be the only problem that Manchester United is facing right now.
Sky Sports is reporting the fullback dislocated the same shoulder he injured against Machester City last season.
United are refusing to comment but manager Louis van Gaal is likely to discuss the extent of the injury at his weekly media briefing on Friday.
The United staff are now fearing that the defender will be out for at least a month, which is the same amount of time he was sidelined for when he picked up the same injury a year ago.
The news that Marcos Rojo has dislocated his shoulder is bad for Man United but even worse when you consider the current context of our injuries at the moment.
If he is indeed set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Van Gaal will now have to be very vigilant with his remaining fit defenders.
Rojo’s absence leaves Van Gaal short of options at the back with Luke Shaw a long-term problem after suffering a double leg break against PSV Eindhoven in September.
Van Gaal could also gamble with recalling U-21s full-back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson to the main squad, and giving him a spot in the starting XI.
