Man United target Pogba not a done deal
If the transfer takes place, the agreed £92m fee will shatter the previous transfer record paid by Manchester United as well as by a British club.
And he’s not even pretending to care about all the fuss.
The player’s provocative agent, Mino Raiola, tweeted on Friday: “Journalist = parrots”.
And of course, he’s entirely right.
The fee is somewhat less than initially reported: £95 million, the reduction having been agreed due to Raiola’s huge fee for brokering the most expensive transfer ever.
Pogba is now enjoying an off-season break in the United States and it has been suggested he could undergo a medical in Miami, ahead of the transfer being confirmed on the weekend.
“Breaking news: Pogba undergoes medical at Los Angeles’ Universal Studios” and again, “Breaking news: we’ve seen Pogba with his contract at Los Angeles’ Universal Studios #blabla, #imonholidays”.
Jose Mourinho has repeatedly mentioned that he expected to make four signings in his first transfer window as Manchester United manager. (Probably the first United jersey he has signed since the impending transfer) Thanks @paulpogba for making my 18th birthday a little more special! “It’s a game between Italy press and United Kingdom press who announce it first and who is worse”, he tweeted.
The Monaco defender is back in the top three as he continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford.
After a few tough round of negotiations, Manchester United reached an agreement with the Italian champions for the signature of the French midfielder earlier this week.
