Man Utd ‘agree’ to £13m loss on Di Maria
Angel Di Maria has arrived in Qatar to complete his medical ahead of a move to Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.
Sky sources understand United want more than the £44m figure quoted in several national newspapers on Friday and are aiming to secure a deal around the £50m mark for the 27-year-old.
Di Maria was all set for a move to Parc Des Princes last summer, before FFP intervened and stopped the transfer from happening.
In that case Van Gaal’s midfield is most likely Ander Herrera, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, provided the German is fit.
The Dutchman has said he wants more pace and creativity in attack, so expect him to sign a winger before the transfer window shuts, especially if Angel di Maria departs for PSG. “Maybe you know where he is”.
The former Derby County and Leicester City midfielder believes that United manager Louis van Gaal will play the England worldwide forward up front and not in a deeper role this term.
“I have just finished my first season playing for Manchester United. You can ask that every week but I don’t answer that question”, Van Gaal said.
Manchester United’s pre-season US tour ended on a losing note on Wednesday as French giants Paris Saint-Germain claimed a 2-0 victory to clinch the worldwide Champions Cup exhibition tournament.
Neville added: “I had seen Di Maria play for Real Madrid, watched as he was their best player in the Champions League final last May, and saw him as the addition to the United squad who would deliver the pace, impetus and the ability to change the speed of a game”. “But we feel we are close to the end”, as per further reports in ESPN FC.
Initially delirious United fans celebrated the signing and Di Maria’s shirt was, by a distance, the best-selling one at Old Trafford last autumn.
“We have a lot of quality so I have to fight my way but I think the team has the quality to win the title and all the trophies there are to win“. But on Thursday, Spanish newspaper Marca, who have strong links with Real Madrid, reported Ramos has agreed a new five-year deal at the Bernabeu.
The Argentinean impressed early on in the Premier League, but struggled to truly acclimatise to life in the Premier League, scoring a disappointing four goals in 32 games in all competitions.
