Man Utd FC ready to make new move for Harry Kane
Kane, 22, failed to score against United for the third match running at the weekend but, given his age and performances last season, Louis van Gaal is an admirer of the England worldwide.
Ahead of the game there was a lot of talk surrounding Spurs striker Harry Kane, who is reportedly a transfer target for United manager Louis van Gaal, and how he would fare playing against a makeshift centre-half in Daley Blind. Kane inked a new deal earlier this year and Van Gaal has suggested he would prefer to sign a forward, such as Pedro, rather than a striker. Tottenham are determined to hang on to the 22-year-old.
However, the forward sparked rumours on social media that he could be secretly keen on a move to United, when he was pictured taking his time signing autographs after Tottenham’s loss at Old Trafford. He is widely regarded as the best young striker in the country.
Kane would assuredly benefit from studying under his England compatriot, but the promise for guaranteed minutes at White Hart Lane may be too precious to sacrifice at this point.
United beat Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday in the Premier League season’s opening fixture.
It’s thought that Captain Wayne Rooney is highly supportive of this move, and he certainly should be given that he’s going to need some support within the United strike force. Van Gaal has room for arrivals following the departures of Radamel Falcao-who spent last season on loan at Old Trafford-and Robin van Persie, now at Fenerbahce.
