Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, although ecstatic after his team’s remarkable performance at the Etihad Stadium, refused to get carried away with talks of Liverpool finishing in the top four and believed that there was work to be done if his team was to reach the Champions League.
While this result was very much a team effort, some of the interplay between the Reds samba stars was nothing short of sublime.

Carragher has heaped praise on Lallana, Coutinho and Firmino. Klopp appears to have struck gold.
He’s a man of the people, and that’s what Liverpool Football Club has always been about.
Liverpool were beaten at Anfield by Crystal Palace on their last outing but on this occasion they ravaged the title favourites with a high-energy display from the outset. Personally, I’d love to play under Klopp. That is when we will see Manchester City running on all four pots again!
