Manchester United consider surprise Ayoze Perez move
In fact, not only Tottenham have been keen on Perez, who was the subject of interest from the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in the summer, but they were rebuffed in their efforts.
Tottenham Hotspur have enquired about Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez and are weighing up a £12 million move for the fleet-footed forward, as per the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old, though, does not appear to be too fussed about his future at the moment and is working hard in training during the two-week worldwide break.
Perez took his tally to 10 goals for Newcastle with the victor at Bournemouth, and Celades said: “He has been capable of arriving in the Premier League at a very young age, as he did previous year at an important club like Newcastle, and play a lot of matches”.
Another player who has been linked with a move away from Newcastle in the January transfer window is Siem de Jong.
Newcastle paid just £2m for the 22-year-old from Tenerife back in 2014 but have seen his value soar since, though they informed Spurs they would not sell when Mauricio Pochettino’s side made an approach in the summer.
However, a combination of injuries and a collapsed lung severely restricted the Dutchman’s playing time last season.
