Manchester United play-maker Powell heads for Hull
Powell, 21, has had scarce first-team involvement at Old Trafford after making little progress during his three-and-a-half years at the club.
When asked if he had spoken with van Gaal about a loan move, Powell said: “Bits and bobs”.
Nick Powell has revealed that the promise of regular match action was the motivating factor behind his loan switch from Manchester United to Hull City last night.
Hull have tonight completed the signing of Slovakian global goalkeeper Dusan Kuciak from Legia Warsaw for an undisclosed fee.
The former England Under-21 player made his only previous appearance, under the Dutchman in the humiliating 4-0 League Cup thrashing to the MK Dons last season. Mainly, it was personal reasons. I have been training the last couple of months so it is time to get some games now.
Hull City boss Steve Bruce has identified Manchester United’s Nick Powell as a transfer target and remains hopeful a deal can be concluded before Monday’s deadline, the Mirror reports.
While many will hope some regular football is all he needs to rediscover the spark, there’s a good chance the young Englishman may fade into obscurity.
“I spoke to the gaffer here and the ambition for this club is good”.
