Manchester United transfer news: Chelsea considering move for Victor Valdes
Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer Victor Valdes an escape from Manchester United – if he can reach an agreement to leave Old Trafford.
The 33-year-old join on a free transfer during the previous winter window after being released by Barcelona, but has not been given a regular place in the squad under manager Louis van Gaal.
And according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net, Chelsea could be the ones to take the ex-Barcelona star off of United’s hands.
Chelsea are facing a goalkeeping crisis after an injury to Thibaut Courtois, who has now been ruled out for several months.
The Special One said he is happy with remaining options Asmir Begovic and Jamal Blackman, in the absence of injured Belgian worldwide Courtois.
The London-based team has been linked with a move for Manchester United keeper Victor Valdes.
After his failed transfer to Besiktas, Valdes is stuck on the sidelines until January at the very least. Reaching such an agreement could be complicated, with potential compensation needing to be paid to Valdes.
A plethora of Chelsea fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern feel that Mourinho would look after Valdes, and he could turn out to be a very shrewd purchase! Would Manchester United really discuss the cancellation of his deal if it means helping out a top-four fival?
