Manhunt underway after double slaying in Daytona Beach

They asked another man, Sydney Washington, who was an eyewitness to all of this, to help them evict Bodden.

Since being arrested Friday for the murder, the Orlando Sentinel reports that Bodden has hanged himself inside his Miami jail cell.

Two women were killed Wednesday at the Carolina Club Apartments in Daytona Beach.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement tracked Bodden to a home in Miami after the murders of Timesha Carswell and Diona McDonald. “When they went to stop him, they fled and went high speed”, said Chitwood.

According to police, five people, including Bodden, were inside an apartment when an argument began over rent money.

Their fourth roommate, 27-year-old York Zed Bodden, hadn’t paid all of his rent and was not getting along with the others, Chitwood said.

Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said he learned late Saturday afternoon about Bodden’s death by suicide. “These two poor girls get executed over a fight with their boyfriend”, Chitwood said.

There have been several Bethune-Cookman students wounded in shootings in the last seven months.

Police said Parham was forced into a closet, then shot nearly a dozen times, including three times in the face and head, and is now in grave condition at Halifax Medical Center.

On Thursday afternoon, the roommates decided to tell Bodden that he had to move out. A barrage of gunfire rang out at the typically quiet apartment complex that is favored by local college students.

Police said the triple shooting punctuated a year of domestic violence that has been escalating.

“This is a very unfortunate incident and our thoughts and prayers are with the families, loved ones and fellow classmates of these students”, university spokeswoman Keisha Boyd said in a statement.
