Manitoba remains under heat advisory
The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a heat advisory for Nueces County and surrounding areas for this afternoon.
Cause of the heat wave is a strong ridge of high pressure making its way through Northern California, Rowe said.
These are not normal temperatures for this time year: The average is in the mid-80s. Stay hydrated! It’s going to feel soupy all day, as humidity will stay high, and temperatures will be downright disgusting.
Warmer winds will blow in Tuesday sending the mercury in the lower 90s with heat index values pushing 100 to 110 degrees!
Heat is often overlooked as being risky, which isn’t good, in 2013 heat was responsible for more deaths then all other weather phenomenon. Almost everyone will will see the heat this weekend. Keep checking back to see if anything turns severe.

The advisory warns older adults, infants and young children, people with chronic illnesses and those who work or exercise outside are at the highest risk for adverse effects of the heat.
