Manitobans remain under heat advisory issued by province
The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity can create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible.
Ben Miller, a meteorologist with the weather service, said that the heat index is expected to reach 105 to 110 degrees on both days. A heat advisory for much of Tuesday morning has already been issued for areas west of Evansville. Our winds will be relatively light with southerly winds of 8-15 miles per hour during the day and less at night.

Temperatures across the state on Saturday will reach the upper 90s and may even break into the triple digits in western Oklahoma. Highs today will top out in the 90s with heat indices above 100. There’s also a low chance for a few afternoon storms. But, so far at least we have not had a triple digit temperature and just maybe we can avoid one this coming week as well. However, medical officers say many Manitobans are not acclimatized to this kind of weather, and need to be vigilant about staying cool.
