Manning: HGH investigation will find a ‘big, fat nothing’
Speaking Monday night at the NFL’s Super Bowl 50 Opening Night media event, the Broncos star repeated his disgust with the Al Jazeera America report but claimed he has nothing to hide.
As a refresher for the Peyton Manning story, his spokesman Ari Fleischer did acknowledge that Manning’s wife was a patient at the anti-aging clinic and had an unspecified prescription, but there have been nonstop vehement denials that this was on the quarterback’s behalf.
Donald was on “Face The Nation” this weekend – when he was asked for his stance on the Denver vs. Carolina game… and Trump was quick to explain why he’s going with Denver. “It’s why I welcome this National Football League investigation, because I know the rules of the National Football League and I respect the rules, they’re important to me”, he said, via Kevin Patra of Around the NFL. Brady said he plans to play for another 10 years, but Manning (jokingly) thinks he’ll be on the field longer than that. “There in the moment, face-to-face, man-to-man, that’s all that that meant”.
Manning said Monday that, as far as he knows, the NFL’s investigation won’t begin until after the Super Bowl.
Of that exchange, Manning said, “That was not pre-planned”. I told (Tom) Brady the same thing previous to telling Belichick. So what this report alleges that I did is simply not true. This could be it. I’m aware this could be it and I wanted to tell both of them I really have enjoyed these games. It’s too bad this could be Manning’s “last rodeo” because Brady looks poised for a few more before he hangs up the cleats.
