Manny Pacquiao says shoulder 80-90 percent healed

The 28-year-old Briton has expressed his frustration that he was unable to lock horns with Mayweather, who he believes was there for the taking in the twilight of his boxing career.

Before switching full time into politics, however, Pacquiao said he still has one more fight left in him after over 20 years of boxing.

He later boarded Philippine Airlines flight PR126 which would take him to New York via Vancouver.

He told Boxing News: “The Pacquiao fight, basically my team’s taking care of everything”.

“Right now I can say both”.

“If you ask me, of course, I want a rematch”, Pacquiao said. “But if I become a senator I have to devote myself a hundred percent as a public servant”, he said inside the NAIA Terminal 2.

“So obviously Manny Pacquiao I believe after Floyd Mayweather is the best fighter. But I did talk to Bob [Arum]”, he said.

Then sooner or later, the 36-year-old Pacquiao will have to quit boxing. I can fight early next year. “Siguro (Maybe) one more fight or two then that’s it”, he said.

However, Pacquiao hasn’t even started training yet, so it’s impossible to know if his shoulder will be able to hold up to the wear and tear normal training, especially when he starts getting hit in that area by big shots from the sparring partners.

Pacquiao was elated by the distinction.

Pacquiao acknowledged that Amir Khan was a possible opponent, but added no determination had been made. “Styles make fights and I’m sure ours will make for a good fight”, he claimed. Me and Pacquiao used to train together as well, used to spar together, we are friends but sometimes friends have to fight each other. However, if in case none of these fights can be organised, Khan confessed he would be open to a rematch against Marcos Maidana or Danny Garcia, who defeated him in 2012.
