‘March 4 Trump’ rallies held around US by president’s supporters

Supporters of Trump came out in larger numbers than expected, highlighting their right to free speech.
“We are here in unity, in one unified voice, to say thank you and show our support for our 45th president of the United States of America”, said Ruthie Hendrycks, founder of Minnesotans Seeking Immigration Reform.
The rally in Berkeley was one of the most violent.
A group of protesters gathered at the bottom of the plaza amid considerable police presence.
This is just one of several similar rallies being held all over the nation.
Elsewhere, the March 4 Trump events went off largely without incident despite the presence of opponents.

At the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, scuffles broke out between pro-Trump demonstrators and a smaller group of anti-Trump protesters, according to the Star Tribune.
Numerous pro-Trump ralliers stayed close to the Capitol steps to listen to speakers’ addresses. The station reports that the demonstrators are accused of assaulting a police officer.
Police are asking anyone who feels they were the victim of a crime during the protest to get in touch with them. Some wore tape over their mouths. They also took a wide range of weapons away from protestors, including: “a dagger, metal pipes, bats, pieces of lumber and bricks”.
KCBS radio reported that at least some of the counter-protesters appear to be members of the so-called black bloc, a group that UC Berkeley officials blamed for numerous problems on campus last month.
Hundreds gathered in rallies on both ends of Pennsylvania to show support for Trump. In Washington, about 150 people marched from the Washington Monument to Lafayette Square in front of the White House to show their support for the president.
“Donald Trump’s biggest road block is going to be the Republicans”, King told the website.
Yesterday the US President accused Barack Obama of “wire tapping” his office at Trump Towers.
