Marco Rubio (Accidentally) Hit a Kid in the Face With a Football
“I want to thank my family for coming along with me today”, Rubio told the crowd and he stood with his wife and kids.
Marco Rubio slightly lost his grip on Monday night when he hit a little boy in the face with a football. “My sons are supposed to be in football practice right now”. “That’s why I believe before you take out a student loan, schools should tell you how much people make when they graduate from that school with that degree”.
The boy’s arms extend too far, as he runs for the ball which squarely bounces off the skyward facing receiver’s face.
Rubio is seen moving toward the child and offering a concerned, “Oh”, in the video, which lasts less than five seconds. While some GOP hopefuls are already highlighting their progress in visiting all of Iowa’s 99 counties, Rubio’s return to the state this week marks his first stop in the caucus battleground in a month.
Despite a rainy morning in Des Moines, Iowa, Rubio still managed to draw nearly 200 people to his soapbox speech, where he delivered an optimistic message centered on his campaign slogan of building “a new American century”.
However, it appeared from the short clip that the boy sustained no career-ending injuries.
