The Tennessee Titans are having to shuffle around players on the offensive line, a unit they hoped would be all set by this point of the preseason. But therein lies the issue… no one’s really taking it seriously. The Titans face the Rams on Sunday in preseason game No.2. Odds are that Sankey and Cobb start the season with a time share.
I don’t know what the Titans would have done had if the Buccaneers had taken Marcus with the first pick in the draft, but I am convinced we got the best in the deal, and think it was apparent in the games this past week.
Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota bounced back from an ugly start to lead a touchdown drive, a quartet of tight ends not named Delanie Walker combined to haul in 10 passes, and the team rallied from an early 17-point deficit to forge a tie.

The first week of the preseason is officially in the books. So while Dolphins and Titans fans might hold their breadth every snap, you can be assured they’re thankful for a long, tiresome preseason schedule.

Mariota showed a lot of poise in the pocket during the preseason opener, choosing to hold onto the ball and look for multiple receivers instead of panicking at the first sign of pressure. And every time a player goes down with an injury, it’s impossible to not ask, “Is this necessary, or is it just another way to bring in more money?” Sounds, great, right? Right?
