Mariah Carey and James Packer are ‘engaged’

While Mariah is now performed at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, where she has residency, it’s thought Packer popped the question in New York City in front of some of the singer’s closest friends.

The Aussie businessman presented Carey, 45, a massive engagement ring described at around 35 carats, according to E!

It wasn’t long before Carey and Packer embarked on a whirlwind romance that brought them all around the world.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Packer proposed to his girlfriend in NY on Thursday.

“The 6’6” Packer is part of a legendary Australian media dynasty and is recognized as one of the country’s richest men. But they can’t get married until Carey’s divorce from ex Nick Cannon is finalized.

Carey has been married twice before and has twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-husband Nick Cannon.

Mariah Carey will be hearing wedding bells soon.

The pair spent the festive period in Aspen, Colorado, where they first met and Mariah shared this snap of the couple enjoying the snow last month. Both Mariah and James try to include each other in their lives as much as possible. Online past year, Carey said the couple “were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that”.

Carey’s hits include “Vision of Love”, “We Belong Together” and “Hero”. They were photographed leaving the restaurant and Mariah was beaming as she flashed the handsome ring. He then got remarried to Erica Baxter, an Australian singer and model, from 2007 until 2013.

Mariah Carey is ready to give marriage another shot it seems, as multiple outlets have confirmed the diva songstress and her billionaire boyfriend are engaged! He has three children of his own namely Indigo Packer, 7, Jackson Packer, 5 and Emmanuelle Packer, 3.
