Mariah Carey Engaged To Billionaire Boyfriend, The Ring Is Huge!

Mariah Carey is getting hitched.

Australian billionaire James Packer has proposed to Mariah Carey in NY.

A close friend of the couple confirmed the upcoming nuptials to AFP and saying she was “over the moon that James has found such happiness with Mariah”.

Packer, 48, is said to have thrown an engagement party at the big apple’s Eleven Madison Park with a select group of the We Belong Together singer’s friends in attendance.

Packer has also been married twice in the past and has three children.

On Thursday, the Australian businessman and the Infinity singer got engaged! His father Kerry carried on the family business and is remembered for starting a revolution in global cricket with his World Series venture in the 1970s.

No wedding date has been set yet. In November 2015 TMZ reported that Carey had moved in with her beau in his over-the-top Beverly Hills home. They will have a combined 5 kids from their previous marriages, so it would be a huge surprise if they made a decision to have a baby together, but hey, anything is possible, right?

The singer has two children with second husband, actor Nick Cannon, and was previously married to music industry executive Tommy Mottola.

Both Packer and Carey were in Australia last month, where they celebrated the New Year at Packer’s casino in Melbourne.

“They fell head over heels in love with one another, ” the insider told E! news.

Carey will be returning to the United Kingdom in March for her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour, her first European tour in 13 years.

The five-time Grammy award victor has four-year-old non-identical twins from her marriage to Nick, Moroccan and Monroe.
