Marin to have Trabzonspor medical – director

According to ESPN, the Germany worldwide is in Turkey for a medical with Trabzonspor after a failed spell at Stamford Bridge.

Marin struggled with a number of injuries since he joined and found it very hard to compete for places on the wings.

The German has spent most of his Chelsea career on loan at other clubs like Anderlecht, Sevilla and Fiorentina.

Chelsea winger Marko Marin is to finally leave the club on a permanent deal and sign for Trabzonspor in Turkey.

“He will arrive in Trabzon on Monday night and undergo a medical on Tuesday before completing his transfer”, Trabzonspor Sporting Director Suleyman Hurma said on Monday.

The 26-year-old joined from Werder Bremen for £6m in 2012 and was tipped for greatness having been dubbed the ‘German Lionel Messi’.

However, he has always been deemed surplus to requirements and has only slipped further down the pecking order following last week’s arrival of fellow winger Pedro from Barcelona.
