Mario Balotelli little chance of returning to Anfield

In fact, reports in the Liverpool Echo and Guardian this morning state that they are already taking steps to ensure his sale as soon as possible and that, shockingly, clubs in China have already registered their interest.

Liverpool are reportedly ready to offload Mario Balotelli, with a lucrative transfer to the Chinese Super League on the cards.

He scored just four goals in 28 appearances last season and could see his future in China, following the likes of Ramires, Fredy Guarin, Gervinho, Jackson Martinez and Liverpool transfer target Alex Teixeira, who broke their most expensive transfer record by signing for Jiangsu Suning for £38 million.

There are a number of other items on the table with discussions apparently open on other aspects of the club with commercial deals and even outside investment a possibility – as well as the sale of struggling striker Mario Balotelli.
