Mark Hamill Will Appear In Star Wars Episode VIII
MARK Hamill is set to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in the sequel to next month’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens – but his role in JJ Abrams’ forthcoming film is still uncertain.
Posting on Twitter, Hamill appeared to confirm he will be back as the veteran Jedi knight for Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is being directed by Looper’s Rian Johnson and is due in cinemas for May 2017.
The tweet mentions Hamill’s upcoming appearance as Trickster on The Flash, as well as the last time he shaved as he grows out his beard for Star Wars Episode VIII. It still does not resolve the issue regarding the mystery of Skywalker’s absence in the trailers, posters and other promotional materials.
Earlier, it was speculated that the former Jedi Master may not survive the events of the seventh instalment as young characters Rey and Finn have taken centre stage in the plot.
Mark Hamill may have broken your hearts or made all of your dreams come true, depending on who you ask.
Poe Dameron – played by Oscar Isaac – then meets him on the desert planet of Jakku, but their meeting is thwarted by the evil First Order and Dameron has to hide a message inside droid BB-8.
The First Order group, led by Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie), attack the castle after finding out that Solo and his friends are there, but X-Wing fighters sent by Resistance leader General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) save the day.
There are no details as yet on how much he will appear in the new Star Wars The Force Awakens movie, I guess we will find out when it lands in movie theaters on the 17th of December. “People are shopping, they’re travelling, they also know that their kids are going to be on vacation in a week and they’re going to all go see movies together”.
