Mark Richt Will Not Coach UGA’s Bowl Game

Richt interviewed with UM Athletics Director Blake James on Tuesday – and according to reports out of Charlottesville, Va. – met with Virginia officials Wednesday about their opening before mulling a return to Coral Gables.

He played wide receiver at Georgia from 2002 to ’05, and his father, Willie, played running back at the school.

Now, there are rumors that Smart would like to bring Muschamp – another former Georgia defensive back – from Auburn to be the defensive coordinator in Athens.
