Mark Teixeira angered by third-base coach Joe Espada
“There’s just a lot of reasons why that can’t happen…” And then in the eighth, Martin’s throw cut down Teixeira at the plate.
That was the last part of an annoying game for Teixeira, who was robbed of a home run in the second inning by none other than Martin. “I can get hurt; I’m not expecting a play at the plate”.
However, something that we’ve realized for decades in football is you don’t go out and regularly get the best day trip, understanding that once happned Teixeira on Monday overnight.
Yankees’ third base coach Joe Espada sent him home, but Teixeira was soon thrown out by Texas Rangers’ center fielder Leonys Martin as Teixeira slid into catcher Robinson Chirinos’ tag.

“There was no miscommunication”, a still-angry Teixeira said, throwing Espada directly under the bus. “I love Joe Espada, he apologized and it’s over, but it was a big mistake”.
“That can’t happen”, Teixeira said. ‘I told him to take it easy. “It was my fault”. I just try to take care of those guys’ legs.
Teixeira immediately turned to yell at Espada and continued to do so as he made his way into the dugout.
Teixeira screamed while walking off the field and once in the dugout, slammed a trash can to the ground in frustration.
“I thought he was going to score easy”, said Espada, who believes there will be no lingering hard feelings. I was watching what happened; it’s kind of unexplainable when you’re watching from first.
