Marshawn Lynch’s mother wants ‘worst play caller ever’ Darrell Bevell fired
She called Bevell the “worst play caller ever” and said he should have been fired after last season’s Super Bowl.
Needless to say Delisa Lynch hasn’t gotten over the team’s Super Bowl loss to New England in February, when the Hawks decided to pass the ball instead of handing it off to Lynch on the final offensive play.
Delisa’s post was seemingly precipitated by (perhaps lighthearted) criticism of her son after he was stopped short on the fourth-down play, giving the hometown St. Louis Rams a 34-31 upset win over the two-time defending NFC champions.
Seattle, meanwhile, are in enough hot water on the field having lost the game on Sunday and facing the Packers in Week 2.
Delisa certainly pulled no punches in her post, calling out Bevell as the “worst play caller ever” and insisting he “should have been fired”.
Regardless of whether fans can agree with her assessment of the Seahawks play calling Sunday or not, Le Batard was quick to pile on Marshawn for allowing his mom to be so vocal at all, citing the difficulties it could cause in the locker room. “The history shows all of that, all what we’ve done”.
“I always joke with some of the players every now and then that everybody has Madden nowadays, and everybody gets to play, and they’re offensive coordinators on their game”, Bevell said.
” (Michael Brockers) did an awesome job of knocking that tackle (Russell Okung) back and I just jumped on it and cleaned it up”, said Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
You can’t hate a mother for protecting her son, though.
Facts will tell you that Seattle has played in the past two Super Bowls and won the whole shebang in 2013. Its 5.3 yards per carry was the best in the National Football League since 2006. This time, Seattle decided to give the ball to Lynch, who was quickly stuffed behind the line of scrimmage. “I can promise them that we are spending a lot of time on what we are doing, there is rhyme and reason for everything”.
