Martin Sheen Commends Son Charlie Sheen’s “Courage” in Revealing He’s HIV-Positive
Martin Sheen says he’s proud that his son Charlie Sheen went public with his HIV diagnosis.
With Charlie Sheen revealing to Matt Lauer that he was diagnosed with HIV four years ago, “Today” snared a whopping audience of more than 5.5 million viewers – crushing its arch-rival, ABC’s “Good Morning America” by 803,000 viewers, according to early Nielsen estimates.
One of the highest paid actors on television, Charlie Sheen rose to fame after a series of successful films such as “Platoon” (1986), “Wall Street”, “Young Guns”, “Eight Men Out”, “Major League”, “Hot Shots!’ and ‘The Three Musketeers” (1993).
There are also reports that some of the people with whom he had sex in the last few years -and he had several affairs -may go to the court for keeping them in the dark.
Former madam Anna Gristina claimed Sheen would frequently use her former agency between 2009 and 2010, and often asked her girls if they could hook him up with any transsexuals. Speaking about it yesterday, Sheen said he had spent millions of dollars paying off blackmailers.
Charlie Sheen ended days of intense media speculation by confirming he is HIV positive in a NBC TV interview.
“And so basically I think my advice to her was, ‘Don’t do it, but the risk is minuscule.’ And she elected to then go forward because she felt so close and wanted that level of intimacy”.
But he did say he had unprotected sex with two people, but not before telling them he was a carrier of the virus and since when both have been under the care of his doctor.
“I have told enough that I trusted that to be in the exposition and the situation that I am in today”.
Interestingly, Sheen said that he had “informed every sexual partner of his condition”.
He said: “It was the most hard thing he’d ever done”.
She added, “I have sympathy for him because he’s sick and it’s bad, but man he’s going to have to take a few major accountability with many people in his life”.
“He never said anything to me, I was his girlfriend”. An opportunity to help others.
During his “Today” interview on Tuesday, November 17, Charlie admitted that he has known about his HIV status for about four years now.
