Marvel Announces Civil War II Creative Team
“I think one of the most interesting things about Peter Parker for us is that he’s the only person in the MCU now that has a secret identity, so we all know who everyone else is”, the 19-year-old actor explained.
So far, we have only had one trailer for Captain America: Civil War, which will see the Avengers divided and Captain America & Iron Man going head to head.
The cynical view of Civil War II is that it’s a cash grab meant to take advantage of Captain America: Civil War.
Although the other casts denied the news, Daily Mail reported that according to Robert Downey Jr. who will be playing as Iron Man, while they were filming, he and Don Cheadle were talking excitingly about the appearance of many more superheroes.
Russo also discussed the importance of getting the casting right for Spider-Man, and how “amazing” Tom Holland is in the role. While the issues involved are different, we’ll be taking the same approach to CIVIL WAR II.
In ComicBook’s report, the director also adds that the movie will challenge audiences’ view on the beloved Steve Rogers and Tony Stark and says that after watching “Captain America: Civil War”, nothing will be the same.
When Entertainment Weekly tried to ask lead star Chris Evans what Tom Holland will be doing in his standalone film, he answered: “I can’t tell you anything about that”.
It’d seem unlikely to introduce Spider-Man and have him play a central role here when the audience isn’t fully aware. “I’m not having to patter around what I think the worldview is”.
It is rumored that Spider-Man will be likely join Iron Man’s team first and would probably switch sides to Captain America during the course of “Civil War” similar to the comics.
“We did two screen tests with the character”. The artwork features on the April page of the Calendar, which might indicate a release period-which would line up nicely with Captain America: Civil War’s May 6th release.
