Marvel Comics: What to expect from San Diego Comic Con this year
Season 8 will begin on October 22nd.
Rosewater will also appear at a one-man panel on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.in Room 25ABC in which he re-creates his popular blog about MAGIC: THE GATHERING, “Blogatog”, and participates in an audience Q&A.
There’s not much info about the Westworld panel.
Proudly owning their geek credentials, Matt and Ross Duffer admitted that even before the green light was on for Season 2, and way before the public clamor for a renewal had hit a feverish pitch, they had been writing the entire time.
Yep, the season 7 premiere had everyone raving about “GOT’s” return this past weekend, and now the cast will speak to fans before the follow-up episode.
Also coming soon to the Adult Swim channel is Tyler’s brand-new show, created with his Odd Future pal Lionel Boyce – with whom he worked on their other Adult Swim show, Loiter Squad. The future looks bright for fans of Runaways, and both Rowell and Anka will be at Comic-Con to chat about the book. We’ll nearly definitely get a full trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, now that Spider-Man: Homecoming is comfortably out of the way, but elsewhere, pickings will be slim. An event like Comic-Con also offers what amounts to an immersive experience, surrounding convention-goers with like-minded, equally avid fans. We’ll probably be seeing the first footage of that here.
Russell will share behind the scenes prop magic of Marvel movies directly with the fans. The actors who play Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will be in attendance for the huge event that is one of the biggest days in pop culture.
While the cable network opted not to screen the full pilot for fans down at the confab, Syfy released a new teaser trailer for the Superman prequel series that encourages fans of the Man of Steel to “discover the lineage behind the legend”.
Check back soon for more on GoT, too, as we’ll be live blogging the Hall H panel on Friday, July 21.
Genre TV is big this year: we’re expecting new trailers for Stranger Things’ second season, Netflix’s The Defenders, not to mention news from films like Justice League, Ready Player One, and quite a bit more.
