Marvel’s Mockingbird Spinoff Ordered by ABC
We wonder where ABC will be looking to place Marvel’s Most Wanted – perhaps in the winter? Well, Variety reports that a pilot order is back on at ABC, and it even has an official title: Marvel’s Most Wanted.
Variety claims that the series would not be a spinoff in the strictest sense, but rather a series focused solely on Mockingbird and Lance Hunter’s adventures. They’re co-writing the pilot together and, should the show go to series, they’ll serve as executive producers alongside Jeph Loeb. Plot details are still being kept hush-hush although it has been insinuated that it will narrative will be triggered by the aftermath of what occurred in the final episodes of “S.H.I.E.L.D”.
In the Marvel comic book universe, Quake is an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who develops the power to control vibrations with the potential of generating earthquakes.
In the meantime, both Bobbi and Hunter will return to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. when season three premieres Tuesday, September 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC. (I’m only halfway through season two): Would you follow Morse and Hunter to a new series?
Helming the show are SHIELD executive producer Jeffrey Bell (also of Angel and The X-Files) and series writer Paul Zbyszewski (Lost). While its clear ABC loves to feature Marvel spy characters, dont forget there is also the mysterious superhero project that 12 Years A Slave scribe John Ridley is penning.
Probably the character that will receive the most attention in the show’s upcoming season is Daisy Johnson, who is portrayed by Chloe Bennet.
